I am a visiting researcher at the Systems Research Lab. I am a part of the Jung-Eun Kim Group for Resource Dependent Learning. I obtained my M.S. from NC State University.
I investigate the relationship between neural networks and data compression, developing information-theoretic frameworks to explain foundational mechanisms of deep learning learning models. My work explores critical aspects such as learning processes, example difficulty, memorization, generalizability, and the factors contributing to efficient deep learning. I am particularly interested in interpreting information bottlenecks in deep learning models and analyzing their implications for learning and memorization dynamics.
In my free time, I love to read, follow motorsports and soccer, and listen to Carnatic music.
